I’ve written both in-depth and game coverage for The Daily Tar Heel, UNC's Student Publication, with some of my favorite work centered on UNC Volleyball.
In Spring 2026, I will cover UNC Men’s Lacrosse as a Senior Writer on the sports desk, producing in-depth analysis and feature stories that highlight a historic program and the people behind it.

Growing up in Pinehurst, North Carolina, I became accustomed to a copy of The Pilot sitting on the counter each Wednesday and Sunday morning.
In the Summer of 2025, I got to work with the publication that has united the community I grew up in.
While working here, I covered local politics, attended an eight-hour-long School Board Meeting, and talked to local representatives about gun laws.
I was able to pursue my passion for sports storytelling and attended multiple golf tournaments, where I had an exciting run-in with Tiger Woods' Security Officer...
Then, over my Winter Holiday, I was able to return to cover local basketball tournaments and an annual charity event at Pinehurst's Short-Course, The Cradle.

Being from the "Home of American Golf" has many perks, such as being able to talk to the groundskeeper of one of the most renowned courses in the world — Pinehurst No. 2.
John Jefferys has been a part of Pinehurst history since the first U.S. Open came to the town in 1999.
This story was an assignment in a feature writing class, and I turned it into the center of a magazine spread project in a graphic design class.

Watching the Untold Series on Netflix about the Danbury Trashers left me with many questions.
I decided to take action during a feature writing class. I made contact with five sources in Danbury through countless emails and then hour-long phone calls, and I was able to gather a comprehensive history that went far beyond the original documentary.
I learned about the teams that came after and the culture that followed, which transformed the Connecticut community.
